I agree with F8L Z71 order you some low copression pistions, bearings, new gaskets for about $800-$900 and then your ready for some serious boost. If you bye the 6.0 it maybe in good shape but it still has the CAST PISTIONS and those and boost don't like each other. Its your decision I'm just trying to help you out lator on down the road. Good Luck!

The GT67 is a common one for the 6.0L. It was a lil laggy for me on my 5.3L though but I didn't mind since I liked the mid and top end charge. On a 5.3L the GT35 was perfect for regular driving and almost instant boost.

Sounds like you probably F'd up a piston or two but as they said you have alot of options. Here is what I would do if I were you. First off I would find out the condition of your motor. You might be able to just replace a rod or piston and get out of it cheap. If you already had plans on doing a motor swap or whatever I would first find out the condition of the 5.3 block. My buddy CRAZYCUTER4.8 got a used 5.3 block and found a used LS1 rotating assembly in great shape. He originally was going to do a 347ci(basiclly a iron block LS1) but then decieded to use a 6.0l crank and go to a 396ci(or whatever it is). Sent the block off and its ready to install. When I killed my 4.8 there just happen to be a very low mileage LS1 for sale for pretty cheap and I got it. It all depends on how much money you want or have to spend, if you are going to be doing the install, if you have access to some good deals on used or new motors. Yeah if you got the money to buy a 6.0l and grt it installed do it but you have alot of other options. Good luck whatever way you go man. Look at it this way no matter what you do you will be stronger and maybe mor powerful.
