hey guys whats up im pretty new to all of this i have a 01 reg. cab silverado sportside w/ 5/7 drop and 17" tourque trust 2's nothing special and under the hood it is bone stock and that is where i want to change things i have a 5.3L and live in cali. and want to know what i can do to get some power i need to know anything and everything i can do but i also need it to be smog legal for cali. thanks for all the help

 

First off, welcome. For performance I am sure alot of people will chime in because there are alot of oppinions out there. You need to do the free mods first, well seems to be the first thing done. Not sure of the page but somebody will post the page of free mods that are applicable to your truck. Second, how fast do you want to go? Intake wise, most people like the UPD intake. Its a redesigned lid with a AFE filter for better flow. This is supposed to be the better of the intakes out there. You could do a ASP Crank Pulley, e fans, headers, cam and heads, some sort of forced induction or spray. It does depend on how extreme you go as far as the emissions is concerned. Like I said it just depends on how fast you want to go. If you want specifics, just ask. Again these are just my oppinions so keep an open mind.

now it doesnt really even look like the same truck ill try to get some new pic its all primer black waiting to go in to the paint shop, all moldings removed, sportside bed, escalade handles, lowered back down to the 5/7, tonneau cover, windows tinted, like i said ill try to get some new pics with a different camera mine dont do to well
