Default 5.3 with 01vette cam and which heads?

What heads would make more hp? Or would it make that much of a difference? TIA.

243 0r 799 casting heads will be an upgrade over the stock 706/862 casting
unless you go with CNC ported heads

If your referring to this cam from an LS6

204/211 .525/.525 116

There are better cams that will get you more power.

If you use the 799/243 heads you should mill the heads to get the compression up to see the gains from the heads.

I have the 862s now. Would they be better than the 243s after P&P and bigger valves with the same z06 cam?? Thanks again.

They will flow more then a stock 243 after there ported.

2 of our sponsors carry CNC Ported stage 2 head packages based on the 862's with larger valves and springs starting at $899 w/exchange

SDPC and WCCH
