Yes, it is a dana 60. Dana 60s are quite stout axles, see they are the axle of choice on some f 250/350s and Dodge Cummins diesels. The axle also offers a fail safe mode in which should something go wrong, it will revert to a regular solid axle (i.e no rear steering).

Once I got my shift kit servos and stall in I got a tune to remove all torque managment and it made an enormous difference. It knocked over a couple secs off my 0 to 60, I have an ext cab z71 with the 5.3

as far as the tune goes I would get it dyno tuned it will cost about the same and be alot better than mail order I wish I hadnt wasted my money
oh well hack that one up to experience
