4l60e or 4l80e

Default 4l60e or 4l80e

i was wondering what to go with my choices a from a brand new tci 4l60 for around $2000 or a 4l80 w 5000 miles on it for 1000 ..,.. i know i will need computer tuning but thats no prob i have ls1 edit i tihink a harness is $200 to adapt to a 4l80e and some crossmember mount work.... i just need some opinions what would be better and if there is anything else involved w a swap to a 4l80

btw the truck is a 2000 gmc sierra 1500 ecsb with a 6.0

Check with Speed engineering. They have all the hardware to mount the 80.

Go with the 80 hands down a better choice..

you might also have to get your drive shaft shortened, and you will need a TC that is for the 80E i will be asking the same question soon enough. (100,000 miles and a lot of ragging on)

yes definetly go with the 80.Takes a little more *** to turn but can handle a helluv alot more power.
