Would the 4l60 be able to hold a setup that say made about 320rwhp? I know some of you guys are having or had problems with less hp, but is there anyone out there running about 320 or more rwhp with the 4l60 tranny?

In stock form maybe if the torque management programming is left in.Probably with a transgo shift kit set soft with servos, and definately with a built transmission using hardened parts built by someone like FLP or a performance transmission expert.

I agree Exactly with what Flyer said. I dynoed 350rwhp with a Transgo kit and TQM deleted and it was holding fine. I had no traction on launches, so that kind of helped keep the transmission stress down. If you plan on putting a higher stall torque converter in or plan to use slicks -it will eventually need to be rebuilt. A 4l80e for only 350rwhp is a little overkill. The things that went when I started boosting up in my trans were the clutches. I would suggest taking out all Torque Management using LS1edit. It only causes the trans to slip on shifts for a smooth shift, but with more than stock power it just wears the clutches faster.
