Thanks Grippy. Yeah I painted the block, water pump, ac bracket and powersteering/alternator bracket orange. Ill probably pull the water pump off and sand blast it back to aluminum and get the ac bracket and p/a bracket powder coated orange or pewter to match my truck but it will do for now. I like the old school look. LIke I have said before I dont like having the same **** as everyone else and everyone just throws their motor in there and so I wanted to clean and everything up and paint it.

NO the engine covers are not going to be orange at all. The block is just orange Im going to smooth and paint all the underhood plastic and paint it to match my truck but nothing else is going to be orange too much of it and it will look like a ricer under the hood

That was my first beer and that was after I had pulled the motor back out after having it in already cause I left the damn tc bolts on the tc and well you cant get them out when the motor is bolted up to the trans I hit the woper cowl when dropping the motor in the second time. You see why beer clears your thought process

Yeah the garage is mjhowards its pretty badass it is a GEN1 chevy and manual trans junkyard in there and he has 4 GENIII blocks in there LOL. I think he is keeping all the factory parts off his truck which is alot

Engine just cranked. There is a knock in the bottom end. It sounds to me like a rod is hitting the windage tray. I'm not sure. I wasn't here when he clearenced the windage tray.
