so were you going for daily driver with some speed capabilities or just somehting to make an **** whoopin machine?

A daily driver for sure, and I'm hoping for more low end power because I will probably never reach speeds over 80mph. I wish I could run 13s or 14s but i dought it with just $1200.

What does yours run in the 1/4 ? A guy here has a 00 5.3 rc sb and the rear that's between the 3.42 and the 3.73 (3.55?) peg leg. He ordered the 3.73 but it was delivered with the smaller one. I've ridden in his a few times when he did some 0 to 70 or 80 runs and it doesn't seem quicker than mine but that doesn't mean it isn't...and it should be.
We are going to run them a the local track next month just for fun. A few others may go,too...03 SS Sierra and maybe one with a WS-6 and a guy with a old. Camaro.

I'm sticking with the 4.8L RC for now. I am also getting a job so I can spend more on it anyway.

nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!! dont do it get a 5.3 rc they are awesome , and where you live cars are pretty cheap so just search in the used car lots ! trust they burn from a standstill to like 45 . buy a 5.3 they are better.

well i guess it would depend cuz i have a sc fleet side 03 and my cuz has 03 sc step side i have 5.3 he has 4.8 we both have 3.42's and same mods, i ran .6 sec better
