Default 4.8L hoping for 375-400whp

I just picked up a 04 Regency RST 4.8L 5-spd. I believe stock they dyno around 240whp. I am hoping to get up to 375-400whp. Sense it is a RST it already has K&N intake, JBA shorty headers, and JBA exhaust. I plan on adding cam, ls6 intake, ls1 water pump, and either LS6 or aftermarket throttle body. Then I will either get EFILive or HPTuners or get flashed somewhere. I dont want to run a radical cam and I would like to keep the street manors it has now. Are my power levels achievable with my small cubes. Thanks for the help.

I have yet to see a 5.3 N/A that is pushing 400 hp. Thats with heads, huge cam and full bolt ons. I doubt you will be able to acheive those numbers without head work and a radical cam and full boltons. Not trying to be an ***. If you want a driveable 400 hp, either get some nitrous or a Forced induction. Good luck and happy modding!

The only way your going to get that kind of power out of a 4.8 is with forced induction or N02. I'm around 400 running a Z06 cam and 7lbs of boost.

So it may be a better choice to get a 6.0L shortblock, some L92 heads and intake manifold kit. Then a mild cam I should be at 375whp. Will the 6.0L block work with all my accessories, headers and 5-spd.

I think you still will need some headwork and full boltons to acheive those numbers....

Its fairly common for LS1 Camaros/Trans Am's to hit 400rwhp with bolt-on's and a good sized cam. 6.0 w/cam should get you close but I still have no idea about how close.
