what can I do? what is the best bang for the buck? Just got a new tahoe and it needs a little more pep

New tahoes come with a 4.8L?????? thats news to me. But I would say to do what 01Thunder said.

Ah..GM does this.. I did a oil change at work today on a 06 Chevy 3500 1 ton Van and it had the 4.8 in it. Best bang for the buck on more pep I would go with a custom tune..

wtf? 4.8 in a 3500? my 4.8 was hunting for gears on the highway with any hint of hills

It's an 06 not the new 07

so should i even bother with an intake?

Gears and tune should be first and then a stall.

Keep in mind that all new chevy small blocks have the 4 cylinder shutdown. I dont know what that does for us in here that like to modify these motors. I have not done any research on this new motor yet. I do believe that it is and electrical shutdown though.

well mine is an 06 so it didn't have that yet it's only standard in the new 07's, so I'm ok.
