He's not building the engine he's just the guy picking everything. The kid wants me to go ahead and order this cam for him tonight and I feel confident that with it and a Circle D 3200 he'll love his truck all over again.

The dude is from OKC or Elk City, Not sure. will have to ask so you guys know.

would really like to stay at 6400 shifts as he still has a stock trans. What changes would you make? to accomodate for that.

218/218 .563/.563 110+4 (106 ICL) it has -2* overlap
or
214/220 .559/.564 110+4 (106 ICL) it has -3* overlap

Highjack, so I don't make another useless post. Looking at this for my 4.8. Running LTs, Blackbear, K&N 77. As is right now.

Did he tune for the stall to make it lock properly? I have mine locking at 45 in 4th and with a heavy load it'll usually lock at 55.

Thats the cam I have in my 5.3. it's a good cam but it has a 112ICL that Corey says wouldn't do too well in a 4.8.

Not sure Who tuned his.
I changed mine to lock up at 50mph Because of the crappy 3.42's when it locked up at 40 it was luging bad and the rpm droped around 1100-1200 RPM.
I could also tell it was trying to lock and un-lock. you could see the rpm going up and down.

Going to install 4.10s soon. Not sure when I am gonna install the new 5.3L but it should be a nice change with the extra power. Gonna run a cam similar to the comp 265 high lift version.

thats why you put in some gears. Mine locks up at 32mph with the 4.56. I think it could lock up at 30.

I lock up at like 37 with my 4.11s and 31.5" tire. I think it's around 1200 rpm
