I've seen it stated here before that the 5.3 and 6.0 have the same size injectors but what about the 4.8? Does it also have the same size? I'm about 2 weeks away from dropping a 6.0 into a 99 which has the 4.8. Just curious if I'm gonna be able to use the 4.8 intake and injectors?

 

Well, the 1999 model 4.8 and 5.3 have roughly 21 pound injectors. The 2000+ 4/8, 5.3, and 6.0 trucks have roughly 25.4 pound injectors. This includes the 02+ Escalade and 03 SS.

Drop the motor in and check the injectors with autotap. the stock injector will be fine until you get to really high rpms. So you coud be OK with a 6L running 99 injectors as long as you don't spin it past 5800 (guessing). That will give you time to find injectors and get LS1 edit to program them in.

 

do the truck injectors have different connectors than the ls1?

if so where can i get bigger ones?

The Ford Svo inj. should fit I've had the 30lb and know the 42 pounders on my camaro. Got mine from summit fairly cheap.
