Default 4.8 Freaks ... To the rescue please

i simply couldnt live without a truck .. its more like a part of me , even though i sold my old truck its like a drug u can never give it up nor live without it

Here is the deal im buying a 4.8 Yes a 4.8 and i want the forced induction route .. Supercharger is what im looking into getting soon on this new toy
so if u want to say drop a 6.0 or get a 5.3 then i think ur inthe wrong place coz im keeping it a 4.8 but with something to back it up

Mod it out for me please.. throw ideas at me and il pick what sounds reasnble

TIA

i think you would be better off going turbo than supercharger from what ive heard and seen the 4.8 responds very well to turbos

Speaking from experience, being both a freak and owning a 4.8, here is what I recommend (and not):

YES :
Radix w/ 3.25" pulley
K&N Filter (comes with Radix, but good on its own too)
HPTuners or custom tune
Magnaflow muffler
AEM Wideband O2 sensor and AFR gauge
Corvette servo

NO :
Flowmaster muffler
Shorty headers
265 tires
Boost gauge w/ non-standard sized housing (so that's why it was so cheap!)

MAYBE :
E-Fans - If you get Flexalite, get the Delta Current Control controller and wire in your own fuse.

To Be Determined (i.e. in garage or on coffee table waiting for T-Day) :
LPE GT2-3 cam
Yellow LS6 springs
Yank TT3000 converter

Hope this helps. Good luck!

I like that list...but would skip the converter on a 2wd truck. Traction is gonna be "challenging" with the Radix...not to mention a TT3000 on top of it. I have and love that converter, but couldn't imagine hooking up with it and a Radix.
