My buddy just got a custom tune at Synergy today and he put down 260rwhp,274rwtq in his 04' 4.8L 2wd with an intake, TOG headers, stock exhaust with a flowmaster 1ch muffler. The cam would really wake it up. The lil 4.8Ls can be strong

do not mean to hijack, but is it fairly easy to break 300 rwhp with a 5.3?

Yup! Cam, LTs, Intake, Exhaust and custom tuning will get you there pretty easy.

yea it should be, i mean i came from a LS1 world where my 99ta was a cam only w/full blot ons and made 414 threw a 6 speed, it was a pretty small cam too, so this truck stuff is pretty easy to me just wasnt to sure what a 4.8 would do with just some minor mods and a mild cam in my mind.

yeah i have help build a few ls1's and converted my 94 ta to 6.0 6 speed, so the truck stuff seems quite easy. just my 5.3 is in a 81 c10 swb.
