4.8 in a Denali body.

I currently drive a 2012 4.8 reg cab long box 4x4 Silverado and iv come across a cheap 2010 Denali body with the grill smashed up in it. My question is will my front end go into this Denali front end? Also the 6.2 out of the Denali and transmission are gone. So I was thinking of taking my engine and transmission and just putting it in the Denali with the computer. I'm just wondering what else I should be looking at what problems I may run into. Anything helps so thanks in advance !

You'll need a tune, regardless. The 4.8 doesn't have the VVT the Denali did. That should solve your transmission and engine problems. Frames are the same so SHOULDN'T be a problem with swapping the stuff over but someone else may chime in and say otherwise.

Yes backed by the 4 speed. I knew the harness would have to be changed . Good call on shifter . Why the cluster tho ? Also my truck has 4x4 on the floor would I have to change the whole transfer case ?

I did do some research on the VVT and the 2010 year and up all the V8's ad VVT in them apparently.

The cluster and shifter in the denali is set up for a 6speed- PRNDM. Your cluster and shifter is set up for a 4speed- PRND321. You could swap them but i believe the bcm will need some programming and this is what some of the guys that have swapped out the 6l80 for built 4l80 in high power setups have done.

Okay good to know. This doesn't sound as easy as first anticipated

The 6L80 was not put into the rest of the half tons until 2009 and even those are rare because it had to be a crew cab only with the correct trim level of LTZ to get the 6 speed auto.
All 5.3 and 6.2's past 2010 all got the 6L80e as standard. The 4L60e stayed with the 4.8 and 4.3 until the NNBS trucks were phased out.
Denali trucks got the 6L80e from the get go when the NNBS trucks came out.
