Default 4.8 and 5.7 Liter Motor Mounts

Are the motor mounts on the 2000 4.8 Liter engine the same as the mounts on LS1 motors. Im asking because I blew the engine on my 305 in my 1991 Camaro and have a 4.8 liter 2000 silverado engine sitting around and there is a site www.fbodymotorsports.com that sells motor mounts and tranny mounts and all the stuff you need to put a LS1 in a third gen camaro. However I was wondering if I bought those motor mounts would they bolt up to the 4.8 liter block. thanks.

If your talking about the motor mount location, then yes they are the same. As for the design of a LS1 motor mount vs a 4.8 motor mount, that I'm not sure of.

But there are a few guys here that have put a LS1 motor in place of a 4.8/5.3 before without messing with the mounts.

4.8, 5.3, 5.7, and 6.0 all use the same motor mounts. That is if the 5.7 is an ls1, not the older 350 or lt1.
