I think s&p sells the bracket. We picked up a complete 5.3 with everything for 1,000 bucks. If It were me Id go 6.0 for a few extra bucks.

Yeah but I can get a 4.8 for any where from $800+ and it seems like 6.0s go for like $2500+. I saw where S&P made a bracket to fit a aftermarket ac compressor but not the stock one.

if you look around you can find a 6.0 around or under 1500.. heck i got mine for 1800 and it had 13k miles, comp cam, patriot dual gold valve springs, and hardened push rods..

I say leave the 4.8 alone.I have one in my 02 Tahoe and its kinda slow.My dad has a 99 Sierra and the 5.3 he has is much better on gas and better on accelleration.
