4.3 not running good

Default 4.3 not running good

i have a 94 s10 ss and it has been a demon sence the day i got it a few monthes ago but anyways its running very very very rich and i cant figure out why....and smoking whiteish but its not antifreeze or oil. the smoke smells like gas and the truck exhaust stinks like gas all the time and it also cuts out for a while until you rev it up a few times then its good til it goes back down to a idle so i dont know what to do everyone i know has no idea what it could be i have hered the injection system can be replaced or it goes bad or something but anything will help thanks

is it like a cat stopped up kinda choke or like no fuel getting to it?

i saw the title and thought well duuuhhh!! but then saw it was an s10 lol

im assuming its a 4.3 CPI (tuned port injection look). If so, its most probably one of two things. CLean your EGR unit and/or replace the CPI unit (spider injectors). Those are definately the two most common issues with those motors.

I had a 94 Jimmy 4.3 and it did the same thing, strong smell of gas out the exhaust and running like sh#t and it was the spark module under the distributor cap.

Sounds like the fuel psi regulator diapham ( part of the spider )popet valves assembly.Some years just the regulator was replaceable.

+1 for the spider assembly. Sucks to replace but gm has a revised one that's better than the original one you have.

well that sounds likt that prob it can i get that from a parts store like autozone ect and what all do i need to replace it?

it was at about a quarter tank and i let it idle for about 15 min and it ran out of gas its burning gas like crazy im gonna replace all that stuff but i was wondering when i try to drive it it smokes a whiteish does anyone know if that would be fuel from being so rich?
