The 4.10 posi from 3.42 open gave me 4 tenths and did not affect trap speed. This is on practically bald tires and it was wheel hopping and spinning a little. I can see at least 2 more tenths with new tires and traction bars. And maybe another tenth when I get the pulleys installed. I recommend the 4.10 posi to anybody. Let us know if your start to make a whining noise.

I just found out that the stock diff. in the new trucks is an Eaton diff.
Did anyone here the same as me....

nice truck! you are going to love that setup, as long as you don't get crazy with the boost and blow a hole in your #7 piston like i did. get rid of the damn TQM and you will REALLY like it. now be prepared for your tranny to crap out.

Yes Eaton makes the factory installed posi, but it is not a high performance posi at all. In fact it will only spin one tire half the time, and if you are doing a burn out, it unlocks at 20 mph or so. It works, but the aftermarket high performance Eaton is much better, it always engages when you need it and you can burn out as fast as you want.

I also had my 4.10s and Eaton posi installed last week along with a Transgo shift kit. I can definately feel a difference as far as acceleration goes. Also, getting a 1-2 chirp at half throttle also kicks ***. Some friends and I are heading to NPR tomorrow afternoon if the rain stays away. I'm hoping to see at least a 14.99 if not a 14.7. I'll post results over the weekend.
