3K stall and gas mileage
#1
With the stall Ive noticed a significant drop in mileage at least 2 to 3 MPG, it seems to be slowly getting better over time. When I add HI COMP heads and cam what is it going to do to my mileage right now IM getting around 11.6 MPG I was getting 14 MPG CITY before the stall, highway hasnt changed. I cant imagine it getting any worse. what do you guys think and what sort of mileage are you getting with your stalls?
Now if I can just manage to get off the gas pedal

Something is wrong with your tune or you need to lay off the gas a bit.
On my truck with a 226cam, 3k stall, 3.73s gears on stock 265/75/16 tires, no cats, long tubes and Volant I was still getting 15-15.5mpg. My best stock was about 17mpg but it dropped to about 16mpg after the miles started racking up. This was running 14.29@97mph in the 1/4 too.
I drive 150miles each day so I would track this religiously
IMO you should monitor your LTrims and see what they are at. I bet your AFR is out of whack. Even with my heavy foot my milage never really dropped below 15mph until I got the turbo.

I was gonna say, it because you can't keep your foot out of it! Once you get done "playing" with it, and the "newness" wears off, I'd expect it to be no more then 1mpg or so. I still average around 16.2.

Could it be bad sensors, any suggestions on replacing something. Im going to contact allen again and see what he says. I also get the feeling like the converter is not locking up properly, strange vibration/noise right before it shifts. Any ideas to correct are welcome paying for gas at this rate is a ************.

I don't know why. I know I only put in a 2500 stall converter in mine, but I seem to be getting just as good if not a little better gas mileage that I was stock. And I am driving the hell outta it. I averaged over 18 mpg on my trip back from San Antonio to Houston right after the transgo, servo, converter install and some hellacious tuning from Nelson.
And thats on 3.90 richmonds.
