TruckMann, I have a contact that can get me lq9 motors for about 1400 but not sure on the miles but its not a crap motor. My Lq9 contacts brother has a speed shop that can also mod ot for you. I have another that can get me lq4 engines for $1250 with 38k miles. You just have to use uship.com to get it to you.

The 3200 deal sounds too good to be true for a complete running swap, but there are all types of deals out there and if you know the person doing the swap then it might be attainable

Do you still have a place that can get lq9 motors?

Sounds like a really good deal. Got my LQ9 with 38K miles on for 600 bucks from a guy in the next town over. Lucked out because I was about to throw down 1500 for one. Been tempted to sell it and make a little green off it but think I would rather toss it in the truck.

While searching for a motor its hit or miss. I came across some good deals but they were too far for me to go get my self. If I cant drive there then I am not buying unless its a reputable business. My motor was 4 hours away.

Good find Silvy. Isn't it a funny feeling when you buy enough parts to add up more than what the motor cost you.

I just did some computer work for a friend at his business and his idea of paying me back was getting me a sweet deal on a lq9 from some one who owe'd him a favor. It actually cost 550 bucks but I paid my buddy 50 to go and get it because it was in Ardmore Ok lol. But yes the extras to put it in there will be well over the price I paid for it. Out of a burned Caddy but didnt get anywhere near the engine. Think the story was, some one tos'd a cigarette through the window while the dude was in the store and the inside when into a blaze.

Anywho, yea good deals out there just gotta keep an eye out. 3800 bucks will buy you a salvaged truck with an lq4 and all the stuff you need for the swap for 3800.
