Default 305/45/18 drag radials...

I know Nitto recomends a min 9.5" rim for them but looking at them on a lightning, they look small for that size. Does anyone know if I can squeeze them on my 8.5s without any problems?
If not I guess I am going to have to go with the 28x10.50x16 ET streets.

I have a certain American Racing wheel picked out for my truck when I get the $$ I am planning on running that tire on the 18x8.5 I know some of the lightning guys use them on their stock 18x9's. 1/2" is not that much difference.

I posted over at NLOC and got a responce from several guys over there. I am confused on the stock size of L rims though. SVT's page says 18x9 but every one over there says 9.5. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />
If you get them soon, please let me know how they fit on the 8.5's.
