Yes, it was with the 6 speed! I know I gained some from the swap, but could not resist! I only gained about 7 to 10 hp with the swap though!?

if you gained 10 hp with the swap that means you were sitting at 298 with auto... not 300

298 is damn close enough to 300 if you ask me! LOL. if you fall 2hp short im sure their is something you could slightly change to get that. LIKE shortbelting!

Today i made 280.02 hp and292.27 tq.This was after i had installed a stall which lowers your power to wheels a decent bit as everyone knows. We retuned the truck and got about 6 extra hp over the base line pulls. My numbers before the verter where 288.97 hp and 307.66 tq.
So if i was just tryin to hit a number with a stock verter and a short belt i could ahve over 300 no problem.
O yea my base pull compared to before the verter was like i said 288.97hp today with the verter base pulls i was at 274.xxhp...So the verter caused a decent drop as well as my tq came down to 283.xx
Like i said if i was worried about a number stock verter and short belt would get me there.
BTW:This was done at 95.25degrees and 24%humidity.

i need to get my truck dynod. anyone think i might hit the 300 mark? my ecsb 5.3 with NO internal mods and no power adder ran 13.80 @ 97mph. that was before the pulley and more weight reduction(lost rear bumper for a rollpan).

I think you'll be damn close Stew... that thing has to be just a freak or something. I'm interested in what you run on the dyno.

Dyno testing with the converter locked will help reduce drivetrain losses.

If an Ls1 can dyno at 290-325 rwhp stock, than I think a 5.3 should be able to hit 300 rwhp with bolt ons and tuning.

An aluminum block L33 with its slightly different heads, cam and compression ratio should be able to hit the mark a tad easier than an iron block LM7 5.3.

Keep trying, someone will get there.
