on a stock truck you'll lose power if anything. The stock exhaust tubing is already 2.75 so going up .25" isn't going to help

well I got shorties and I got a 3 inch y and it really feels tourqier I hane vararam fans tune and converter feels good

Why not just pick up a set of pacesetters and the ORY? Theyre cheap.
I just did it and it made a world of difference in sound and power, and its not even tuned yet.
