3" duals or 4" single exhaust?

The resonance of single 4" would probably drive me up the wall. It would kill at 1800 RPM. I don't think you can go wrong with dual 3", as I think it will give you the best across the board power; idle to redline.

I have dual 3" with a 4" tip and 2.5" cutouts; couldn't fit the 3" cutouts because of the larger cats and 4x4 crossmember. I'm happier with this than my old 3" single set up. Do you think I should add an x-pipe or h-pipe? Would it benefit in any way?

Well last night we tigged up my 3'' flanges onto my Pacesetters , still waiting on the Maganflows to get here from Summit so i can finish the instal .Im making my own true dual 3'' setup with all mandrel bends :
Headers , then up through the tranny crossmember , 3'' cutouts , over into an x-pipe , then since my truck is on a 4/6 drop and i want everything tucked high and tight , we are going to fab up a new carrier bearing crossmember to clear the dual 3'' pipes , then 2 18'' Maganflows dumped before the axle .
It should dound pretty damn mean .
Will take a bunch of pics for you guys when i get it all welded up .
