They saw you coming ... The highest I got quoted was 200 for labor which consisted of swapping the differential, and after he was that far in, he said he wouldn't charge anything extra for the gears.

hmmmm everybody i talked too around hear quoted me the same price.
i had seen people on here saying they got theirs done for around 200. the cheapest i had found was at cottmans for around 300 but after they have screwed my trans up there was no way i was going to let them mess with the rear end. plus i took it to somebody that knows what there doing. its all they do. the same guy that changes the gears for amyracinrose changed mine. real good shop i would recommend them too all. PYLE BROS in Baytown Texas.

Tom's is awesome. Great equipment and he'll set you up nice. He has killer prices, IMO, on hardened / polished posi units, choice of clutches / spring tension, etc.

That's where all my 12 bolt guts for my Chevelle are coming from.

Going from 3.42 to 3.73 posi will only make a difference if you are already having traction problems now.If you are having traction problems already with one wheel peel and you do not put in posi with 3.73,your traction problems will only get worse.
