01 .. I was in SanAntonio this past weekend and saw Cotmanns tranny shop. Are you around San Anton? I was thinking you were in the Houston area though.
cottmans is nationwide

why do you wanna make the change? Just curious
i still fill i need a little more umph off the line. i think the bigger stall will help me.

Unless you can find someone with one on the shelf, you might be better off finacialy to send yours back to Hughes and have them work it over. Have you contacted them about it blowing up?
no i have not contacted hughes. they would probably be closed all week.

well i decided to go with the vig 2800. going to have to wait untill friday to get it in though. hopefully this will tide me over untill i can afford one of those expensive yanks.

oh and BTW wound up not being the converter. its fine. the fluid pump shattered. or something like that. i wasnt paying attention when he was telling me. was thinking about how to fanagle another torque converter from under the wife.

I thought the Vigilante and the Yank were in the same ballpark on price??? I'm sure you will be happy with your choice, I have heard great things about those converters. You can still probrobally get Hughes to "go thru" your old converter and sell it to recoupe some of your cash. Good luck, and keep us posted on the new converter. Hopefully my new YANK will "tighten up" a bit, as I can't hook for **** now!
