Default 259 rwhp & 305 rwtq!!

Dynoed on Saturday @ Fastech, 3 pulls:

RWHP / RWTQ
257.2 / 304.3
259.7 / 305.0
258.6 / 297.0

'01 1500HD Crewcab 2wd, 6.0, auto, 3.73 gear, 245/75/16 tires @ 50psi, 11K on odometer.
The truck is still stock, except I hooked up a Jet SCU 2000 so it would get rid of the speed limiter so the pulls could be made in 3rd gear. I am pleased with the results.

One weird thing happened though after dynoing. For some reason the truck won't shift into reverse now. Sean hooked up a Tech2 to it and it looks like the 1-2 shift solenoid is stuck and/or the BCM won't recognize the correct gear it is in. We think the SCU may have screwed with the line pressure, because it was chirping the tires on the dyno. Otherwise, it drives perfect, as long as you are going forward. Having no reverse makes parking in downtown DFW very interesting. I'm dropping it off at the dealer today, I don't think it's anything major.

Sounds like great numbers Neil! Sorry but I didn`t dyno stock. Good luck with the tranny problem..

My current numbers with UD Pulley, Free mods, UPD intake and hpp3 are 290.4 RWHP and 321.1 torque in third gear..That is through the stock exhaust before the cut-outs were added.. looks like a few bolt ons will free you up another 30 RWHP or so..Damn you will be dangerous with that 2 wheel drive 6 litre..

What was your trucks weight again?

5380 empty.
5580 race weight.
Hopefully I'll get the truck back before the weekend...Me & Jason have some business to take care of @ RCR.

DAMN!! Just think, a few years ago, those were LT1 like numbers, at least on the HP side.

Man, if I had known you were going to FASTech, I would have met you up there. Was it a pretty good turn out on Saturday for the dyno runs?

Joseph, be sure to disconnect his fuel line too while you are under the hood.

BigTex, sorry, I wasn't 100% sure that I would be there, so I didn't make a public announcement about it. We left a little after 12, and I guess 7-8 cars made runs during that time. Catchya next time.

Good hp numbers Neil! Was that with any mods?

My 5.9 Dodge dynoed 210.3hp/302.9 torque stock. With the ASP underdrive pulley 219.4hp/332.5 torque.

I ran a 15.96 with the pulley to your 16.33. I'm surprised you are not faster than I am. My race weight was about 5200 pounds so that may have made a difference.

Larry, I think Neil had a bad set of first runs..He will spank your dodge anyday..Neil, the hpp3 was worth .46 off my ET..Thats huge! take your spare/jack(79lbs) out and manuel shift in tow haul mode, until you get the hpp3 and other bolt ons..When you hit 5400 on the tach shift to the next gear..That should stretch you out to about 5800 rpm , instead of auto shifting at 5400..Practice, practice.. you may know all this already but just in case..
