Lookin for help, I was lookin at motoblue long tubes and was wonderin on cam specs that would be good for my DD. Its a HD 4x4 ,K&N cai , 50 series flowmaster,4:10 gears ,Diablosport tuner.

 

i wouldnt go over a 220 cam especially on that heavy ****,, are you going to restall

 

maybe a 212/218 cam

 

body style??
ditch the diablo for custom tune, then start lookin at cams..
what do u want to use the truck for besides daily drivin..
any towing???
212/218 high lift gets my vote... power down low to tow and no need for stall...
220/551 would be awesome but a 2800 stall at least..

 

Hopefully no stall for awhile. I do tow now and then not to often and plow in winter just a few friends drives and my own. Was hoping to get up around 400hp.

 

Its an ecsb, aftermarkrt torsion keys , 285s ,16 x 10 pro comp wheels I powder coated. Was afraid to much stall would hurt bottom end?

 

I had 2 and tried to motify both one had the 8.1 and it was OK but it had the Alli...just hard to do the trannies and weight steal so much drivetrain power loss...even thye driveshaft is a monster compared to to half ton basically a good tune would be ideal cause you need the tourque to move that turd...i did everything headers etc...not nearly wjat i hoped for...good luck

 

I wouldn't worry about a converter, the HD flashes and brake stalls @ 2500rpm.
