Question 2500HD Exhaust questions

Hi,

I'm new to this forum, and after doing some searching, it seems like i have a similiar problem to some other folks.

I've spent the last few months building up my truck (details in sig) and need a bit more oomph at this point.

I've narrowed my choice down to a few things at this point, but need some final advice on how to proceed.

Q1 - headers (long, short, or custom)

I've read quit a bit about this string, and it appears that there are no off the shelf "long" headers for my truck, and i have to buy custom headers.

It also appears that "short" headers don't do much performance wise, and would not be a good investment.

Custom headers appear to be the only choice, and now i need to figure out how / what to get that will match up with the Flowmaster investment.

Q2 - PCM replacement with HyperTech already installed

Again, i already have the HyperTech paid for and installed, so what happens if / when i install a new PCM? Do they step on each other, or perform different functions?

Q3 - anything else? I'm still under the factory / extended warranty for the next few years, so ripping into the motor and Turbo/SuperCharger options are out for now.

Thanks in advance for any / all suggestions
D

On the header question, I would go with (Pacesetter,ASM,or Stainless Works )long tubes. I have the Pacesetters myself, good noticable gain after they were installed. As far as the PCM replacement goes uninstall the Hypertech and sell it like I did and then get a custom tune(Nelson Performance, Wait for Me, etc.) I got a Nelson tune and love it, if you live close to San Antonio drive there and let him do a street tune. I drove 8 hrs. and we did a street tune and dyno tune, and it was worth every penny.

Do you have any pictures of your Toyo MT's on your truck? I have been thinking about getting some to replace my Nitto Terra Grapplers.
