I just bought a 2000 silverado 2500hd and i was wondering if the 6.0 i got was the LQ4. Thanks for your help.

Yes. Check and see if it has the iron heads. The 99-early 2000 had them.

No, there a different casting number (I think) and are iron, like the block pretty obvious.
