I also am looking for a catback for my 5.3l, any suggestions.

Mine has the active fuel managment, so is there any exhaust that will sound better or ones I should avoid? Also something that is MPG friendly

What do ya recomend?

I am kinda wondering how the borla catback setup sounds...

I am really curious how the borla catback setup sounds. Reason I ask is, I just got home from the G12 Fbody Gathering in Atlanta. While I was there I won a door prize for 50% off from Borla products... So I may head in that direction since I will get a real nice discount.

No brainer.... Go Borla, Don't know about the drone, but they do sound nice and are great quality.

I had a Borla cat-back on my 01 Tahoe. I LOVED the sound but I got a little resonance inside but it was an SUV which is basically a big resonance chamber. I did a soundproofing project on the interior and it took care of the drone. Folks I ran into with borlas on trucks claimed to not have the resonance.

Also, I lost a tad of grunt down low but more than made up for it mat mid to high rpm's After 7 years in the midwest(salt) it still looked good with no rusting problems other than light rust.
