Default 212/218 .550 in LS6 for Tahoe

What do you all think about putting my TSP Stg2 212/218 .550/.550 112LSA in a stock long block LS6 and putting in my Tahoe?

Will be in front of a 4L80, 1800 stall, 4.10 gears on 33s

May giv'r 8-10lbs via a turbo later on, but initially she will be replacing a FBO 5.3 (302whp NA, 477 with 12lbs). I love that cam in the 5.3 and I found GTO guys like that cam in their LS1 cars. Without getting cam envy, will it be happy low to mid range with the truck cable TB choking it anyway?

Not a full on build, just trying to give the Tahoe more everything: power, economy, pizazz, you know the drill

Should work fine, the stock 78mm won’t help but I don’t think it’s gonna hurt you much. That cam won’t like high rpm anyway and that’s where the 78 will start to restrict so it a wash in my opinion. Do it.

I agree, seems like a pretty decent choice, kinda mild but should give good low end, which you'll need with that converter. Should give what you describe you want.

If I got greedy and added a 92mm TB and a TBSS/NNBS manifold, would the displacement and compression keep this thing from being a dog at low end speeds (thinking here that the intake velocity will drop, and such so will torque)?

these days a manifold and TB are like $200, and if I can get ~15hp and ~10tq for $200, may as well

I put a btr stage 2 into my wifes lifted Tahoe with 35" tires and a L33 5.3.
Also milled the 243s, nnbs intake with 90mm tb, 4.56 gears etc...
It rolls out pretty well for a lifted Tahoe.
Still stock converter with 4l60e. I have a 80e that I will be putting in soon.
I actually did the mods to tow my truck and our camper better and it tows really well

Hey that's awesome! I would really like to do 35s and 4.56s. Maybe in a few years, too much else going on.

Thank you you for the feedback. Pretty much what I am doing, except the minor bump in displacement
