Default 2005 Perfomance Goals

Let's hear them! I know that we have some badass projects in the works...what's in store for 2005? More 11's? More 10's?

Here's my goals/aspirations to kick things off!
  • finish tranny/drivetrain (80-E/TT3200, Eaton/4.10s, HD d/s)
  • M&H drag radials
  • headers (Dynatechs or QTPs)
  • off road Y/true duals w/ X-pipe
  • swap to car-style intake (FAST/LS2/LS6)
  • 100-150 shot (?)
  • 11 second time slips?

Finaly get my truck to the track.

TT3000 or PI 2800 stall
Drag Radials
Get rid of my audio system and other weight reductions
100-150 shot

hopefully an 11sec time slip.

It's just so expensive modding 2 trucks now that I have a mortgage payment.

Finally get the 6.0L in!! And hopefully, with the spray, some good solid mid to low 12's. After all, I don't want to get crazy with it!

Mine: I'm quite sure I'm staying NA. This list is based off of that:

- AFR 205's - 66cc. 10.5 to 10.8:1.
- VHP 1.89 rockers w/Crane duals.
- Cutouts - hopefully adding e-cutouts.
- Air intake - probably K&N.
- Looking into a intake manifold - LS6, maybe a used FAST.
- Injectors. They'll be upgraded.
- LM1 wideband.
- 20" Centerline Stingray III's.

- Tranny mods: Not sure whether to go for a built '65 and sell my stocker while it still works, or mod mine. Downtime is not my friend. Dreaming about a used/stock '80, converting the truck to 2wd, and doing big fat smokey burnouts all day long. Then reality hits me - I live in the snow-belt.

- Converter. Something needs to be done here. I'm unsure about the reliability of my 2600. Looking into a PI triple disk 10.5. I like overkill. I already own the 2600. The PI will HURT to buy.

In the end, I don't want to spend more than $4000 this year, so some mods will have to be off this list. LM1, and wheels are definite.

I don't know what kind of ET's to look for. Old - 14.5 at 92, full street weight and 3/4 tank of gas.

----------

2004 brought:

- TR220 112. Replaced by VHP 047.
- 918 springs, TR 7.4 PR's.
- Yank 2600 purchase.
- Transgo, vette servo purchase.
- Dynatech headers, HF cats.
- B&B dual rear exit exhaust.
- Taylor plug wires, replaced by MSD 8.5's, TR55 plugs.
- HP Tuners.
- Hotchkis sway bars.
- Earls stainless brake lines.
- UPD intake - removed, now just using drop-in filter.
- FAL e-fans.
- DCC e-fan controller.

(wow, that's a lot more than I thought).
