Default 2005 5.3

I have a 2005 GMC with the 5.3 323. I want to make it fast and strong. What are some bolt on's as well as internal things i can do to it to acheive my goal. Such as certain Heads, cam, lifters, gears or anyother ideas that might be out there that im not aware of. Ive tried searching things online but had no luck besides cold air, plug in programmers and exhaust. im looking for low end power such as 1/4 mile racing and heavy pulling. Thanks any help would be great

Which 5.3L do you have, there are 2. What truck, and current gearing?

Read all the sticky's in this and all the sections, you will find most of what you seek... and then some.

Welcome to the forum and enjoy!

LM7 5.3L is your engine designation.

Start with intake and exhaust, custom tuning. Refer to the sponsor list on the right ----> for good tuning options.

Maybe I'm missing something, but would the answer be any different for a VIN Z 5.3L (L59) engine?
