Default 2004 Chevy Colorado?

Has anybody seen the new chevy colorado sport trucks? They look like mini SS silverados. They are built on the trailblazer frame, and the trailblazer has an option of the 5.3L. So would it be possible to put a built and blown 6.0 in that little truck? I am seriously thinking of trying a project with one of those. That little truck and that kind of power should be good for 10s. What anyone think whose seen it?

i am not sure if i like the looks, they only list a 4cyl and a 5cyl for now, if they had a v8 listed i might wait to see one but it will probably be over a year IF they come out with a 5.3 one.

edit.. i see what you are saying, the trailblazer comes with a 5.3 right now so the parts are out there to bolt in a v8.

I got a whole booklet for the colorado at a chevy dealer. Parish, the one you have a picture of is the fugly version. The sport edition looks almost identical to the SS Silv. I think an extended cab or quad cab with a 5.3 or 6.0 could be nice. Im giong to look and see if I can find some online pics of the sport.

As of right now, they are slated to come with a 5 cyl. NA motor. The turbo motor was a SEMA thing. Hopefully GM will wake up and put in at least a 4.8L motor.
