2004 5.3 into a 2000 with a 4.3...
my motor is still sittin in the garage scheduled to go in the first week of january.. the guy who is doing the swap for me is telling me that i need to swap intake manifolds from the 04 to a 2000 intake manifold.. is this true?
he is also telling me that i need to get new tranny lines even though mine are fine.. is there a difference there also?
if i use the computer/harness on the 04, will i need to pick up an 03+ gauge cluster?
sorry for the stupid questions but i'm runnin out of time and i wanna know exactly what i do and dont need to get this thing in here and just forget about it for awhile this whole build has been a giant headache

use a 99-02 harness and the only thing you will need to change is the tb from drive-by-wire to drive-by-cable, trans lines are same, intake is same....you will need the engine and frame mounts for the 5.3 along with re doing the fuel lines too...i think that is all...pretty easy swap
