well Trevor, here are the results at more of a normal elevation. we dynoed a one week old duramax with allison transmission (5 speed auto) with a level 4 Edge Hot Juice box. this is the smaller version of what TSP dynoed and tested. to my knowledge, the Edge with Attitude is still being tested and not on the market. we want the extra level and incab monitoring! this was supposed to be a 125/300 gain on level four. i wanted to see the comparison between what Trevor and others admitt to exaggerated high elevation claims with forced induction dynos. We dynoed at Raging Motorsports (Kansas City) at around 850 feet of elevation so i dont believe that the correction factor was messing with us. we didnt dyno stock but looking at level one, it was most likely 235-240 rwhp and 430 rwtq stock. now we have nothing else done, not even little free mods (hell i dont even know what are those for these things yet). also level one and two were pretty good, but we did a lot of testing in about a 2 hour span and did 13 full dyno pulls with no cooling for the turbo (pushing well into 22+ psi i bet on level 4). and in fact drove in level four an hour and a half to get to Raging Motorsports from topeka, ks and had fun with other trucks all the way there!
ok for the numbers! first we (meaning me) weren't positive how to dyno it compared to how others dynoed since i havent driven a lot of 5 speed allison transmissions. but for the first 4 levels we did it by manual taking it to 4th gear and pushing the tow/haul button to lock out overdrive. not sure if it worked. on the final runs we went to 5th gear manually and let the truck downshift into fourth by itself. somewhere i think i read the transmission automatically locks the convertor into 4th and 5th gears. not sure. need more info. ok, the numbers.
level 1 277.0 rwhp 481.8 rwtq
level 2 289.3 rwhp 533.3 rwtq
level 3 311.1 rwhp 576.9 rwtq
level 4 355.3 rwhp 662.3 rwtq
and then by allowing it to shift itself into 4th it made:
358.7 rwhp 738.9 rwtq
now i know some might say tq spike, but when i can get this scanned (or if mark can put that graph on the net) you will notice it like all diesels hold the tq all across the powerband. in that graph, it holds the tq until it makes 650 rwtq at the rev limitor!
things to consider: no break in time (truck is a week old), no other mods, the truck had been at level 4 from the point of us driving to raging to the point of getting off the dyno. this motor running 13 full dyno pulls (plus a few aborted ones when they were in the wrong gear) and probably 6-7 times wot on the way to the dyno all over 20 something psi of boost with no cooling down of the turbo!
i bet if we let the turbo cool down the the egt were in a more normal range (not an estimated 1500-1600 degrees! :p we would have made more power.
Mark @ www.ragingmotorsports.com thanks for your time with all our testing. it was a blast and my dad and i had a great time! cant wait to do it again
. i bet you liked our 7000 lbs beast burning all of first and second gears and hitting third!

John,
Congrats on the numbers! It's good to see some more numbers from the Edge tuner. FYI, the Edge Attitude monitor will be $289.99 when you're ready to upgrade. Like we discussed, the truck is an entirely different beast! FYI, I towed our new 48' enclosed trailer on Saturday, and it pulls VERY well! I was pretty shocked. It averages 12-13 MPG doing 65 MPH. That's better than what I got pulling an 18' flat-bed with my 6.0L GMC!
I have the Magnaflow exhaust system installed and will re-dyno the truck this week.

So how much power is the turbo on these bad boys good for and are there any turbo upgrades planned?? Has anyone guessed on how much power the block and internals are good for? Lots of questions but, these things really look awesome.
I could deal with a wicked a$$ diesel truck. It'd be more suited for work than the truck I have now.
