Default 2002 z71 avalanche radiator size and headers

All,
I am looking into putting the 2005 gm electric fans in my avalanche and was wondering if i need a new radiator. I now that you need a 34" and when i search the size i currently have on the internet i keep getting conflicting information.
Also i have HPtuners so what type of harness will i need to attach it straight to the computer. I think nelson makes one who else?

One other question on headers. Im looking at the pacesetter ceramic coated and the obx stainless steel headers, my issue is that i live in the north east and all they put on the road is straight salt. I like the thought of the ceramic coated due to the heat reduction under the hood and the increase in flow due to the gasses staying hotter longer. The issue with this is if rocks or anything chip the coating it will start to rust the mild steel underneath hence wasting my money. Also is the ypipe that you can by with the pacesetter also ceramic coated or not? The obx are stainless and will last but are not ceramic coated. Is the ceramic that much of a difference in performance? Also would it be worth getting the stainless steal headers and putting them on the truck and then when i get the money have them ceramic coated?

If it is worth ceramic coating hte obx then what is a good shop that will do it?

Sorry for all the questions but im still new at this,

Kevin

The 1/2 ton Avalanches all have the 34" radiator.

If you're worried about the ceramic chipping off and the mild steel headers rusting out, go with stainless. Like you indicate, you could always get them coated later. I don't think it's necessary and you won't gain much performance from it.

I'd go with the stainless headers since you're in the northeast (as am I). My buddy Tom's coated ASM's started showing signs of rust after the first year...yet my old set of Gibson stainless shorties were in service for 5 years with some surface rust and mild discoloration, and now my StainlessWorks LT's are only showing discoloration after a year or so. I have a stainless Gibson cat-back exhaust that has been on my truck for about 8 years and is still solid. (I removed the tail pipes when I lowered the truck and they were in great shape)
