The night I went to the track in my truck, I met a guy with a brand new 2002 shortbed standard cab 5.3L and his truck was running 14.98-15.00 all night long. I think the trap speeds were around 90 mph?

I suppose a standard cab sport side would be quicker due to less weight?

Am I correct in assuming that these were on a 2wd truck?

This was a 02' standard cab short bed Silverado. 5.3L motor completely stock (hitch, tires and tailgate), 1400 miles and a 1/8 tank of fuel, 2wd with 3.73:1 rear.

That was worth saying twice <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Good times. I won't quit until I get my heavy *** truck in the mid 14's on motor. I may need a converter to do it but hey a 4.8 and mid 14's, not bad.

How much slower can I expect with the same truck in 4WD trim, about .3-.5 slower in the 1/4?
