The real question before anyone gives you a good answer is probably just what do you want to do with the truck? Daily driver, track toy, tow rig?

I actually bought the same cam for my nitrous application but sold it. Like TX said, spray the **** out of it and get a good gear/converter. Might need a new trans. after a while, but so be it. Don't know who is tuning your ride, but also get that straightened out if it's not.

I would get a converter next imo. You can get tame 278mm 3000-3200rpm converters that are cheap / affordable from Circle D or FTI. After that you can decide on gears, nitrous, heads/ head work, intake manifold, etc..

Do you have a regular cab, or what? What gears do you currently have? How big are your wheels / tires?

Also if you wanted it more for street racing I would probably get a smaller diameter torque converter than a 278mm, and get something like a 3400 stall. The price goes up on smaller diameter converters, but if you look around some companies do have some deals.
