Default 2000 Yukon Question

I just bought a 2000 yukon 4wd with a 5.3 a few weeks ago and was wonder what the best mods for this truck would be to make it a little faster without opening the engine. The truck seems especially slow out of the hole thats where it seems to need the most help. I was thinking a higher stall converter would best for that but really don't want to change that unless I have to.

Go With Basic Bolt Ons: Intake, LTs, Exhaust, UDP & Tune... You should loosen a few extra ponies with those. I'm sure others will agree that on average, those'll get you 30 additional HP (not gauranteed, but maybe more).

Now, when you decide to go a step further with cam, springs, rods (necessity depends on cam), & higher stall rpm TC, you'll notice a much bigger difference in performance.

Don't get sucked into shorty headers, LT's will give you low end TQ to get you off the line, and the other parts like 1BAD said.

without doing a whole lot this is in approxiamate order of amount of performance increase given

1. 4.10 gears
2. custom tune
3. electric fans
4. lt headers, ory pipe, cat-back exhaust
5. cold air intake

that is with out goin inside the motor

a cam and valve springs will help out to the tune of about 40rwhp

Thanks for the replies I kind of asked the wronge question though. What I really want to know is what gives you the best "bang for the buck" on these trucks. I'm still not sure if I want to spend a lot of money on this truck. If my stocks make me some money soon I will........PTSC.OB......everyone BUY BUY BUY
