1. Yes, that is what I started with, a Camaro convertor. Expect an even higher stall in the heavier truck though. My Camaro stall was 3200 but stalled more like 3500 in my truck until I had it restalled.

2. I recommend 3000 for mild mods, but if you do heads and cam, you'll want more stall. A 3600 stall is probably what I really need now.
