Default 2.5" duals or 3" Y-pipe w/ pacesetter LT's?

Alright guys,
I bought a Corsa catback but i think i have decided not to use it cause i can put the money elsewhere and find a cheaper muffler that will make me happy. The money from the Corsa will buy my Pacesetter LT's and either the O/R Y-pipe or duals whichever i decide to do. Which will give me better Horsewpower/Torque? Which will sound better?

Mufflers i will be choosing from will be the hooker aerochamber, Borla XR1, Dynomax bullet, Spintech, or flowmaster super 40's. Im going to look at all my options before deciding.

Yes, i know everyone is going to bash the flows but they still have a great sound i have yet to hear another company replicate even though another muffler might make another 1/2 HP. Also, my other reason for selling the Corsa to go with this different system is because i have decided againt using the tips as i will be running dumps. My truck will have a 4/6 drop on 22's and i think it will look much cleaner with no tips and a molded rollpan. Id like to keep the drone down as much as possible so which will drone the least/most?

LMK what yall think. Thanks!

i am swapping from hamm headers to pacesetter headers. hamm's have a 2.5" collector and the pacesetters have 3". i spoke with my exhaust guy about how i should do the new exhaust system and according to his calculations, if we step it back down to 2.5" it will have an area of 9.8 (combined) vs running a 3" y pipe to a single in/out muffler. the Y pipe setup will have 7.? area.

so even though i am stepping it down from 3" to 2.5 it will still flow better.

hope this helps.
