I have an 87 gmc that I am installing a 5.3 in. I am using the colorado\hummer pan http://sdparts.com/details/gm-factor...parts/19212593 My truck is low with a 6 inch drop on the front. If yours isnt very low the stock pan clears but is lower than the crossmember approx 1 1/2 to 2 inches. I am using stock manifolds as I want to go turbo later. Scads of good info here. Its a long post 60+ pages but worth a read.

Good luck Jay
