Heres my question?Just installed my nx kit and i was wondering, if i have to worry about tie rod's snapping with 150 shot launch in 4 hi.Did it today vs a o3 hemi and all i can say is wow!Buslengths instantly!

Off the line, you have to worry about nutrous backfires and possible engine damage. That said, I do it too and its a huge rush when it takes off. Also, thats a big hit of torque on the transmission. With 4WD, the trans gets hit with every bit of that torque. The 4L60 you have won't live long doing that launch regularly. My old Z71 held up to a dozen nitrous launches with no problems. But others have broken parts with less.

Injectors won't be needed because you are running a wet shot so the nozzle compensates for the extra fuel. I don't think that the fuel pump is necessary, but wouldn't be bad to get it as a precaution.

well i have a ss and when i race i would spray right off the line. the tranny lasted for about 40 or 50 passes down the track and lots of playing on the street. and the tranny didnt' break on the take off. when it shifted from 2nd to 3rd is when it gave out. i am still waiting to rebuild mine with some stronger parts before i go out and run n2o. i am also going to get a intank fuel pump because i have a fuel pressure guage and it goes down alot when i am spraying. but with not alot of mods i wouldn't get the injectors

i sprayed out of the hole many times with every vehicle i have ever had. no problems till i got my 03 silverado. i had more than one nitrous back fire with this truck. i would recomend carrying a fire extinguisher if you plan on doing it.
you can do it much more safely with a stall and a window switch. something like a 3000stall and a window switch set at 2800rpm would give you an even better launch and have no backfire risk's.

I did mine once off the line with a 150 shot and I left a 30ft patch with my drag radials on.
