Try again they where both on a local interstate with 4 mile straight section. Its not real hard to do when you have a 374lb bike with over 300hp to the rear wheel, the viper is just an 02 GTS with headers, full exhaust and alot of other odds and ins.

217 is very believable, I've seen a vid of some psychos from texas with a radar gun on the freeway doing 230+mph on turbo busas. My dead stock 00 R1 with 139hp to the wheel would go 0-170mph back to about 75mph on a straight that was a little less than a mile. I used to do it almost everyday on the way to school.

I have been 124mph on the water in this boat in 1000 ft. 540ci arias engine all aluminum with twin turbos. boost gauge reads 22psi at 7800 rpm. it has seen as high as 28 psi. this was all home made and fabricated by a guy I know. the turbos came off a catepillar diesel setup and they were purchased rebuilt for $400 a piece. the intercooler was home fabricated as well out of a heater core believe it or not.

It was the biggest rush of my life........see attached pics. the boat weighs 450# without the engine.

Now THAT's impressive! 124 on water is like 200, or so on land. Hold on tight, and wear ballistic shorts to protect the family jewels!

it took me about 2 hours after that to overcome the shakes. needless to say it was a hell of a ride. that speed was GPS too not pitot tube. the GPS updates kinda slow on the digital display but I saw it go from 27-74-96 and then my eyes were watering so bad I couldn't read anymore. good to have a recall. that little rig makes a touch over 1400hp and at 7800rpm it sounds like a jet engine is right behind you. oh and he let off at 124 because we didn't have lifeline jackets on. I would guess that boat tops out around 135mph but it gets there fast

It made my little ole 65mph jet seem real slow after that
