I've only been around 145 on one of my bikes... I don't really care to go fast, it doesn't phase me.
One thing to remember is that speedo indicated speeds are off by a good percentage. Motorcycles are generally off like, 7-10%...

My (automotive) GPS freaked out on me once - when it was picking up satellites one day after I turned it on, it thought I was few hundred miles away from where I was. As it got it's bearings, it thought I was travelling at a high rate of speed to my 'real' location. I never saw it do something like that. I think it peaked in the low 300mph range. So now my GPS trip meter reads, "Max Speed: 304mph"

I took my Tahoe to 5800rpm in 3rd gear back when I had a 4L60E and 3.73 gears that figured out to about 147+mph.I can tell you that you overtaking traffic at those speeds is scarey and those gentle curves you see comming up on the Interstate are cause for major league seat puckering. What I'm saying is I don't want to relive the experience again in a truck.I sure hope your life insurance is paid up if you plan on doing that on a regular basis.
