is this a single cab? that would be cool, its gonna take a little bit to get a 4.8 into the 13s...

13s takes alot of money to get in a 5.3 n/a much less a 4.8L. I used to want to make my 4.8L fast but the 5.3L just has so much more potential, but i have a 4.8L and its ex cab.

It's possible, but about all you will have left of the 4.8 is the block. Here goes, Computer tuning, pulley, New intake manifold, 6.0 heads P/P, headers, exhaust, 373's, 3500 stall T/C (bye bye towing) drag radials, pull the spare tire, bumper, tailgate, and rear seat. That should get you started <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0"> <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0"> . hey fast, what kinda intake manifold would you get? or was that just supposed to be intake?
also... what about cam?! cant forget that, thats one of the bigger all motor gains, you would have to go custom though for better gains.
much easier to "upgrade" our engine to 5.3L, or better yet just by one of those 6.0L monstors

No that was intake manifold. It's one I haven't gotten to research yet, but it's a Vortec TPI Base Plate that Scroggin Dickey claims 50 hp increase with stock heads. That's about all I know now. YES I forgot about the CAM. And yes I want to build a 6.0 . I am looking for a block now.

yah i felt like our stock 4.8 made a good run with u last nite...looks like first 2 mods are gonna be K&N FIPK(later to be set-up with custom ram air) then the HPPlll or whatever it is...went to the track today...but due to so much humidity around here and a little drizzle they rained it out...Any1 up for a meet next weekend???
