You will need a little more stall to get 12s, id go 3600-4000 and a 224r or 228r cam with those heads should get you there.

3600 converter should get the job done with traction permitting and he doesn't need that big of a cam.

Pay attention to where all these boosters are coming from. I know I'll get blasted for this but alot of these times are coming from sea level areas in south where they can race in later into the winter and earlier in the spring. DA is a big deal, and your gonna have to work harder then and they do to get the times your asking for. Jake99 has a pretty well built engine in a way lighter truck and he isn't deep into the twelves yet...

Where are you located Jake? Curious if anybody has any info about how good the air is here in Jersey (generally...depending on the weather of course) at tracks such as Englishtown and Island...not sure how high above sea level they are (sure I could find that on Google though). I know that we get some pretty crappy humid air here in the summer, when the tracks are still open (closed from the end of Nov to the end of March)

Check this out Billy...

Yep, when I first posted my times with my new motor everybody thought there was something wrong with my tune when it was running 13.20 on a 1.8 60 foot with 3.73's. Just cause guys in Texas and Florida run mid twelves with a combo in a certain truck type doesn't mean it will work everywhere. My tune is spot on, I'll guarntee it! If the DA gets below 3000 feet here we are lucky! Look at the difference between prostock cars E.T. at Gainsville and Bandimere, if you don't understand the difference. I've seen a buddies dead on dialed bracket car drop .4 tenths one night when a storm was moving in and we got a sweep of cold dry air that moved in and the baro changed. It felt like there was nitrous in the air that night. Right now our track's DA (KID) is +4794 ft. and my corrected E.T. based off my last track time is .6 faster...

Cool deal man, I saved that DA calculator to my favorites, thanks ...

"it felt like there was nitrous in the air that night"...that's classic, I'm going to use that one the next good air day we get around here
